24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitor
A 24-hour blood pressure monitor is a watch-like device that measures your blood pressure over a 24-hour period.
How is it done?
You will be asked to sit down on the examination couch. A 24 Hour Blood Pressure monitor is strapped to your wrist. The device is calibrated with your current Blood pressure using an automatic cuff on your upper arm. The device is then activated.
After 24 hours, you will be asked to return the 24-hour blood pressure monitor. The data will be downloaded and analysed. Your cardiologist will arrange a review to discuss the 24-hour blood pressure results.
